I’VE LIVED IN ST LOUIS PARK FOR 24 YEARS. HERE ARE SOME OF MY FAVORITE PLACES.

  • Yum Kitchen & Bakery.

We go here A LOT! Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Treats. All YUM! We change our menu often, with everything made from scratch. We prepare the best food for each season and we enjoy what we do and how we do it.

  • Bass Lake Preserve.

If you have time for a quick nature walk (1.5 mile loop), the Bass Lake Preserve is right across the street from my building and is great to see some wildlife and catch some peace in the city.

  • REM5.

Great for date night or family time! REM5 VR LAB is an exciting, social experience for you and your friends or family to explore the wonders of modern virtual reality.

  • Lakepointe Wellness.

Lake Pointe has been my Wellness Center for the last 10 years. I love them and am excited to have them as neighbors in my building! Our mission is to provide individualized wellness care for the mind, body and spirit. We look forward to working with you on your wellness goals to help you become the healthiest, happiest version of yourself!

  • The Bakken Museum.

One of our favorite museums, the Bakken Museum inspires a passion for innovation by exploring the potential for science, technology, and the humanities to make the world a better place.

  • Wok in the Park.

Our Super Favorite Asian Bistro spot! We're a family run, independent restaurant and we succeed because we care about our customers and we know what they want. Vegetarian? Got it. Vegan? Got it. Gluten free? Got it. Epicurious? 100% MSG FREE? We're all over that.

  • Steel Toe Brewing.

If you like to check out breweries, we are proud to have Steel Toe in our backyard. My favorite is the food trucks and great outdoor/indoor space. We are a small MN craft brewery with big dreams of staying small.

  • Hazelwood Restaurant.

Just up the road from Berkana, Hazelwood is a newer restaurant with a great atmosphere and wonderful menus. Check out brunch and even the kids menu is the bomb.

  • Westwood Nature Center.

Go get grounded. One of our favorite places for some nature time when living in the the city. Westwood Hills Nature Center is a 160-acre natural area featuring marsh, woods and restored prairie. The preserve is beautiful throughout the seasons and provides homes for many animals, including deer, turtles, fox, mink and owls.

  • Angel Food + Donut Bar

This urban bakery and donut bar is super luxurious and super sugary all wrapped up into one. Fun and Delicious! Welcome to our one-of-a-kind bakery where we make everything from scratch in small batches, using the best stuff we can get our hands on.

  • Honey + Rye Bakehouse

Just up the road from Berkana Studio on Excelsior Boulevard. EVERYTHING is Amazing!

    Made with Butter and Love.

    Need we say more.
